Anamorphic art dates from the beginning of the Renaissance and M.C. Like Escher, it was popularized by artists who make distorted images that can only be understood from a certain angle. Vamos uses the same technique to create his work. He photographs every 2D drawing from certain angles and creates the illusion that it is 3D. While many of Vamos’ stunning drawings seem to leap from the pages to the audience, others seem to descend from the painting into an unknown abyss.
The artist shares the secrets behind his illusions with accelerated videos on his YouTube channel and records his fascinating process. You can also follow Vamos on Instagram to find more of his work.
